Common Issues:
These are some common issues with various SBC Gaming Operating systems.
Can't run this arcade rom
Certain arcade romsets work with specific MAME or FBA/FB Neo versions. Libretro cores include Mame 2000, 2003, and 2010.
There's also FB Neo (which used to be Final Burn Alpha). There are non-libretro emulators like AdvanceMame as well.
You should try the various mame/final burn cores/emulators for your game.
